STYLE
Maniklal Banerjee was an eminent water colourist.
He is well-known for his paintings on silk, and he was
specialised in imparting a silky feel to his paintings.
He was mainly inspired by tradition, the rural life
of Bengal, nature, Indian ideologies, philosophical
aspects, Tantric and Vedic themes. Harmony of colours,
compositions and sensitivity were the most fascinating
features of his artistic creations. His control of colours
and lines made him a perfectionist in his own style.

College of Art and Craft, Calcutta. 1979 Visiting Professor
