Born in Juni Jithardi, Gujarat. 1978 Commissioner, 4th International Triennale, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. 1984-97 Adviser in Fine Arts, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd., Vadodara. 1984, 85, 89, 90 External Examiner, Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. 1987 Jury member, All India Sculpture Competition for Students, Henry Moore Foundation, British Council, India. 1991 Jury member, Bombay Art Society, Bombay. 1993 Jury member, National Exhb., Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. Lives and works in Vadodara.

EDUCATION

Master Degree in Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. In the initial years taught art to children. Toured sited of stone quarries throughout the country on a Govt. of India scholarship to learn the qualities of stones and the techniques of carving.
