BEGINNINGS

Born in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Influenced by artists like Ramgopal Danapal and K.C.S. Paniker. 1962 Commissioned to paint a portrait for the Parliament House of India, New Delhi. Lives and works in Chennai.

EDUCATION

Studied at Danish Mission High School. 1948 Joined Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Madras. 1953 Completed Diploma in Fine Arts, Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Madras. 1954-56 Post Graduation, Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Madras.
